Why Mount was our most important player against Spurs.

Thread.
Mount was awarded MOTM against Spurs in which Chelsea supporters, in general, are divided about. because the one side saw the tactical benefits Mount brought to the side, while another side and rightly so are disappointed with his lack of end product while in the final third
But I decided to bring to light why Mount was the most important player we used to unlock Spurs's dogged defence time and time again. and why he won the MOTM award.
Mount started the game as a False 9 and no 10 constantly looking for space in behind Spurs midfield and constantly dragging out The Spurs CB's making them confused on who between the front 3 to track. we will see various Scenarios where it was apparent during the game.
Just in the 2nd minute, Kova spreads one to Azpi who has a massive amount of options to play in but watch how Mount peels off and into oceans of space. and allows Werner especially gain less attention while running in behind
That is also partly due to Alonso giving Aurier headaches, but watching it real-time, both Sissoko and Alderweireld both had eyes on Mount but once they see Werner running in behind, they follow that instead. leaving mount with space to operate in. Azpi played the wrong pass
just seconds later after the ball gets shuffled around with rotations by CHO and Reece. Mount again finds space in behind Spurs defence for CHO to find him. a more decisive cross is needed here
few minutes after we see Mount once again identifies the space and drops deep. Werner and Callum make darts in behind. this time, Werner's run gives Mount less attention cause the spurs defence is now aware of Werner after his early effort running in behind. Azpi finds him now
He plays the ball to CHO but it was slightly behind. Once again final ball needs work.
This time CHO drops deep now Mount identifies the space in behind CHO and immediately begins to dart into it. CHO is tracked this time but it was this movement and space identification that set the tone for the whole game.
Mount again peeling off into space. reading the movements of his teammates. Silva sees this but doesn't play it this time. as Mount calls for it.
Here CHO drops deep, Mount sees the space and darts into it, Jorginho gives a one time brilliant pass to find Mase and we have a 3v3, then that's when he needs to be more careful with the pass.
It became to much for Spurs that they had to start using Sissoko to start man marking him. Dier points to Sissoko to remember to track Mason. Then Sissoko obliges but its not fast enough. and gives a one time pass beyond Spurs back line.
Mount as one of the front three(mostly Werner and Mount) took turns to drop deep and add an extra build up option to the midfield to progress the ball when Jorignho and Kovacic were marked.
It was a combination of his dropping deep to receive the ball and to create space for Werner to fill in at CF that allowed us to win a penalty. Mount drops from the CF position and Werner makes a dark in beteern the Cbs, Dier fumbles and we win a Pk.
The role Tuchel had out for him was brilliant cause it was what exemplified the attack for most of the game. Mount drops deep, CHO and Werner try to run inbehind the Spurs defence.
It was this way we were effectively able to get into Spurs final third and dangerous areas time and time again,. He was performing the job of an 8, a 10 and a false 9 at the same time.
It was basically find Mount in pockets of space in final third and we build on from there.
wins a foul here

He also combined well with his teamates as he has a super understanding with Callum and Reece James, this time he reads the flick from Callum and wins a foul
in this move, Mount starts by dropping deep as Chelsea play out of the back excellently then quickly looks to exploit the space, CHO creates by dragging out Dier. A better ball in front of Azpi from CHO gives Azpi a chance for a one time through ball for Mount/Werner.
Good passing range and accuracy from Mendy, lovely Kova spin, and see the oceans of space Mount finds again. he peels off Holjberg who still thinks Mount is behind him but he's long gone, Holjberg scrambling back. Werner makes an awful run but Mount's final ball is better here
Mount did have time of wastefulness and indeciveness as he could have had better end product in front of goal but there are all things at 22 years he can absolutely work on to be a world beater. He was important to Lampard and seems so under Tuchel so far again.
Not just Lampard's son, maybe he is actually a good player with massive potential?
