One year ago I received this commendation from @ChiefMNolan - thanks Chief! Things kicked off with Covid right afterwards. It has been a wild 12 months for @RenCtyParamedic #SierraTeam

These are my highlights 1/
High performance CPR and hypothermia management training before Covid shut down in-person get togethers

Drive-thru Covid testing first rolled out. Lots of tweaking before we landed on the current model. All weather testing became a thing. I think I have a future as a Walmart greeter!
3/
3/
Learning to run remote calls in full PPE. Turns out bugs aren’t at all slowed down by all the garb.
4/
4/
One particularly memorable one at a popular Algonquin Park day use spot. Loads of agencies worked hard to make a difference for the patient
6/
6/
First of 3 calls on a popular Algonquin Park hiking trail. Tough extrication with help from our Park colleagues. Medication safety looks pretty much the same anywhere we respond
7/
7/
My first overnighter as we wait for extrication from our Trenton pals who were having weather issues getting in to us
8/
8/
Just a routine fly-in extrication. In and out then back to regular paramedic duties in less than half a shift
9/
9/
Ongoing swabbing throughout the entire year along with high risk transfers and in-home assessments.

It has been a truly remarkable year for our #SierraTeam - we have pushed paramedic special operations to new places. I am so proud to be part of this team! (Older pic of most of the team pre-Covid)
