It’s funny how the @nytimes covered a domestic terrorist who stormed the US Capitol,...yet his hometown paper The Edmonson Voice didn’t find it newsworthy to cover it or warn their citizens or his customers . 1/ https://twitter.com/llrobertson75/status/1357639752036601857
That man is a huge Q fanatic, spends weeks in & out of your home on & off ridding squirrels in your attic...they’re a town of 854 people. Their main stories are obits. But up to 8-10 FBI trucks w/ agents in riot gear swarming his home isn’t news to them 2/
I showed them the NYTimes thought it newsworthy. Provided neighbor witness accounts, photos of the FBI raid, of Vincent at the Capitol, threats he made on FB. But they didn’t think it was worth warning their 854 citizens or anyone. 3/
The Edmonson Voice thought Vincent’s own words & photos bragging that they stormed the Capitol & stopped the Electoral wasn’t newsworthy. I have many family members in that county that weren’t informed. Their excuse: we don’t know if he was arrested. 4/
Somehow every journalist & news source I’ve seen reports on them once they are ID’d. Arrest reports come later. I’m disgusted by this complete lack of truth or empathy for their citizens. (& they’re here & on Facebook) 5/
Oddly my local paper (Edmonson Co is 30 minutes away) had an article on the 15th. Never mentioned Vincent...only a few others. They point out entering the Capitol that day was a crime. I guess The Edmonson Voice doesn’t see domestic terrorism as a crime 6/
It could help if @Cleavon_MD or @RobAnderson2018 or @RexChapman or @donwinslow or @AngelaInKy502 @kybluegirl51 @CarolynSteffan1 @PiattPatti & my #Kentucky neighbors could retweet this. Those citizens deserve to know. 8/
This mess made me recall these 2 quotes. When I said The Edmonson Voice were cowards for not warning their citizens of a domestic terrorist who tried to end the electoral vote...they said no name calling. Said I wasn’t...I was simply stating the truth. 9/
I also reminded them they have to live with this awful decision & find ways to sleep at night. Like MLK Jr. said....”to ignore evil is to become an accomplice to it.” And for the record...me calling them cowards...I refrained hard there. /end
