Small thread:

I’ve had the absolute pleasure of being in the position to raise my four year old these last 4 years. As in being the stay at home parent. I was raised by old fashioned parents.

Eat your food or you get nothing. Stop crying or I’ll give you something to cry about
Go out side and pick a switch and it better not break when I beat you. Don’t cry about get bullied, grow a pair and punch them in the face. There will always be someone better than you. You tried but you didn’t win.....
Though I agreed with some and some I did not I had to think of it as Jesus says...judge a tree by the fruits it produces...and not patting myself on the back, but I came I alright. Have my faults like everyone else, but at end of the day I can sleep at night..comfortably.
So I do however know that I am and have been described by many different people as...aggressive or confrontational...and while I am comfortable with confrontation and feel at home in chaos it doesn’t mean I want 4 living the same way.
So I have made a conscious effort to raise...
...him to be a little more...chill? I guess is a word. One of the things during this time was with the small amount of TV he watches it’s going to be some real nice cartoon, not Wylie trying to merc Roadrunner, or Elmer trying to put some shot in Bugs ass....
...well it worked, this little kiddo got the biggest heart you could imagine. Very outgoing. Interacts well with everyone. But...recently I have noticed he has no concept of good vs evil. Which some may say is ok...He is only 4!!! But these are the most important years.
It’s foundation time. The most important part. This world revolves around good vs evil. That’s a fact. So in a way though I was successful in being used by God as a vessel to set a foundation for a good heart, I fumbled on the whole choose your side thing.
Needless to say he will be shortly be learning about David vs Goliath, Dr. Claw vs Gadget....he’s gonna learn life is about order, there are hunters and hunted. So you can be a Fudd or a slick ass Wabbit. This isn’t a ground breaking thread, just a morning coffee thought.
