Make no mistake, the point of this study was to develop medication to stop people being trans. They referenced medication for people with anorexia. https://twitter.com/mimmymum/status/1357584308391845888
We could just follow an affirmation model. Let people be who they are and be happy. Or we could torture trans people, scan them, then Medicate them into non existence.
I don’t know who I would be on anti trans medication. Who would I even be if I was given “feel like a Cis man” medication? I wouldn’t be who I am now, and that would suck. I love who I am now. I’m great. I don’t need to be replaced by whoever I would instead be.
Additionally, the idea of "anti dysphoria" medication feels very much like it would lead to "you don't need to be trans anymore" and closing off legal recognition.

What about trans people who transition because of euphoria etc?

Would they aim to erase Gender Euphoria too?
The idea that being trans means you are broken and need to be fixed leads down a path towards "you're not allowed to transition, we have medication to stop you needing to do that".
