Ask your students and your own children what they miss most about “normal” school and what they miss LEAST. I did. Their answers were great.
Teachers, they really, really do not miss seeing A LOT OF US. Multiple kids said “not seeing teachers” or “not having to deal with ___.”

What they miss least is the area where we need to focus on how we improve and reinvent when we return to “normal” because they will tell you one million and three ways “normal” was NOT it for them.
And it can’t be said enough: however WE perceive ourselves as teachers, in whatever capacity we think we are serving them or showing up each day, it is very likely for a lot of us that the kids don’t see us that way at all.
