On February 5th 1985, a Kid Named Cristiano Ronaldo dos Santos Aveiro was born in Madeira, Portugal. He was the youngest kid in his family. Even before he came into the world, his mom had thoughts of aborting him, which later was denied by the local doctors as it was illegal.
Born in a lower class family, his father was an alcoholic who was a gardener. His mother worked overnight as a cook in a local restaurant to feed her family, he lived in a small room with his three other siblings. Life wasn't easy at all for the little boy.
He first kicked the ball at age of 3, he wasn't a child Prodigy, he was often made fun by his teammates & friends calling him by a nickname "crybaby", he often skipped a meal and sleep to play football.
At the age of 12, he signed for Sporting CP for £1500, which saved his local club "The Nacional" from bankruptcy. School was never a cup of tea for Cristiano, he left school at the age of 14.
But then something worse followed, he was diagnosed with a racing heart condition, that could have ended his Footballing career even before it began. He went through a surgery and just few days after it he was back in the training ground.
He wasn't the most gifted player but that never mattered. He always worked extra time to improve. In a Pre Season Friendly against Manchester United, a 18 year old Cristiano impressed Sir Alex Ferguson so much that SAF didn't waste much time in going all out for his signature.
And his journey began at Manchester. He played alongside some of the greats but he never was shy to compete with them.
He is more often tagged as FINISHED, but that man out there no matter what happened in his career, how low he hit he came back as stronger as he could.
The Legend who inspired a complete generation and is an inspiration for generations to come.
