Here's some steps to writing out a dope cover letter in a thread. I'm winging this while it's fresh, so here goes:

Open by stating your interest in the company and job. Show some excitement. Why are you applying for the job and why are you the best person for the role?
The opening should be an attention grabber. Succinct but sharp. What spoke to you about the position that made you apply?

You let that guide the rest of the cover letter.

The body, no more than 2 paragraphs.
So in the body, one paragraph you give an overview of your experience. I like the current, past and future model.

Current: Here's what I'm currently doing.

Past: Here's how I started (get it, this is like the how it started vs. how it's going part).

Give an OVERVIEW/SUMMARY
What were your responsible for? Who were you responsible for? Accomplishments/results? Keep it high level but specific in terms of metrics and outcomes.

Speak their language, which you can find from the job description.
And in the closing, restate your interest, include your contact info & thank them for their consideration. I would also add that final one-liner to seal the deal.
