..."majoritarian" means and what "free press" means and what "right to protest" means. His education and consequent garlanding by society means he has difficulty accepting that he has the political understanding of a boiled potato and the civic sense of a half-eaten apricot.
So that's another barrier one has to cross. In the longer run however, you are better off focusing on those who do have more than two brain cells. The ignorant ones will either put in the effort or they won't. It's out of your hands. You're not responsible for their education.
