2/ say what you will about Tucker but I think he has a point about how broad these search criteria are. #3 includes “at a *weapons-related* merchant,” so even if you just bought a t-shirt or w/e you’d be flagged (tho maybe that’s b/c those stores don’t have SKU-level data? Idk)
3/and of course while Tucker is understandably shocked that banks report “suspicious activity” to the feds without telling their customers, BofA is right when they tell him they’re required to, and arguably incentivized to err on side of reporting rather than not.
4/ good points! But:
A) is it *all four* conditions, or *any one* of them? I couldn’t tell (get an editor, Tuck).
B) a subpoena — not a warrant. The cursed Third Party Doctrine strikes again!

6/well yes, it would be interesting to go back and see what Tucker said at the time about the Patriot Act and the other shit that the Bush and Obama admins did in GWOT. But hey, better late than never https://twitter.com/jodyshenn/status/1357532263957807104?s=21 https://twitter.com/jodyshenn/status/1357532263957807104
7/ Another good point! Privacy-wise, no you’re not better off, unless it’s Monero, or Zcash with shielded addresses or very careful use of BTC. The value of a public blockchain is censorship resistance, which is not the exact same issue as privacy https://twitter.com/jodyshenn/status/1357532641784975362?s=21 https://twitter.com/jodyshenn/status/1357532641784975362
7a/this is how Satoshi envisioned it, but he or she or they didn’t imagine blockchain nosy parkers would become a lucrative government contracting business, or that users would upload selfies for the privilege of trading on exchanges with crap cybersec https://bitcoin.org/bitcoin.pdf
