I'm sympathetic to the idea that original, adult queer works need more attention, but yelling at "the kids" for liking more mainstream work doesn't solve anything.
Both sides feel like they're policing queer content.

One side wants very safe, corporate friendly, heteronormative queer media to be the norm.

The other side wants "adult queer relationships", but apparently insists that it be obscure and never actually gives recommendations.
Reminds me a little of a lot of correspondents for non-Big 2 comics, where it's either big publisher, super sanitized YA comics or really archane, Comics Journal approved arty memoirs.

In both cases, there's a middle ground here people ignore.
