The difference between @mtgreenee and many other Republicans before her over the last generation is the level of sophistication at making things up.

Was the welfare queen any truer than @mtgreenee’s theories? Was trickle down any truer? Was Iraqi WMD? Was the rising tide lifting all boats? Was Star Wars missile defense? Was the compassion in compassionate conservatism?

The @GOP has worked primarily in fiction for some time.

With all due respect, @mtgreenee is just what happens when a slightly less intelligent person does what some very intelligent people have been perfecting so long that it can be done by anyone.

I’m confused by any analyst or journalist who thinks she’s a departure. As I’ve said before, if you confuse beginnings with culminations, you are no better an analyst than a lover.
