I have some #mtgcube thoughts for people wanted to build a first cube :-) I really like these creatures. Printed only in Alara Reborn, they exemplify what (imo) is a “good” cycled. If you can cast them, sweet. If they’re in your opening hand, get rid of them and find a land!
The spell itself is not a game winner/bomb/p1p1 by far. These are C/C- level cards that will service the deck you build. But what I like most is they find a land! And in times where common duals have basic land types, I’m looking at these a bit more favorably!
I tend to appreciate the Green/Black/Blue colored ones more as they can be a reanimating target or fit a role in decks that care about the graveyard (which these colors typically do). Red and White are fine if your deck stalls out; but historically those are aggro colors.
And those are my thoughts for the day for intro cube building. I hope someone appreciates it 🙃
