I had the pleasure again of listening to Hinshaw on my drive home from the office. I believe she does an admirable job of advocating her position of containing COVID. What the govt of AB hasn't done is provided anyone to advocate for the other sides of complex decisions. 1/5
If you are going to give a platform to one side of the issue you will get only that result. What about an advocate for business on the daily update? What about an advocate for mental health? What about an advocate for domestic violence? 2/5
The media uses this weighting tactic all the time to push their inherent bias. If you only give one side of the issue you weight any decision-making or perception to that side only. It's clearly a tactic to distract from any balance in public perception. 3/5
Imagine if in business you made decisions based only on the advice of risk managers. You would never do anything, because their interest is to prevent all risk and have no view to the cost/benefit. 4/5
This is a sign of a weak government, full-stop. If they are so binary in their thought that they can only deal with one issue in only one way, they don't deserve to act as govt for all the issues. 5/5
