One of the most rewarding aspects of joining @Fast has been how quickly I was able to jump in and start making an impact. Today we unveiled an upgraded Fast Store at https://store.fast.co . In just two weeks, we have made a bunch of changes to improve the customer experience.
First, I wrote product descriptions and added details such as material and fit. I'm no copywriter, but as a consumer I know how important it is for an e-commerce website to provide rich information about its products. The less questions I have, the more likely I am to buy!

Then we moved the Fast Store from the /shop directory on our main website to a subdomain. This fixed some pesky URL issues hurting SEO. It also allows @mkobach to share clean URLs to our Fast Store product pages, such as the popular Fast hoodie at https://store.fast.co/fast-hoodie .
We're also excited about the new look of the @Fast Store. I worked with @brenaandring from our Customer Success team to reinstall our Fast Checkout and Login buttons into the new @BigCommerce theme. The most tedious part of this upgrade was adjusting the colors. Fresh pixels!
To effectively sell most products online, great product photography is essential. This is especially true for the apparel category. Thanks to the talented @vladlapich, today we've started to introduce professional imagery of real people wearing @Fast hoodies for our store.
While at @Kroger Technology & Digital, I learned how beneficial ratings and reviews can be for SEO and conversion rate optimization, so we added that functionality as part of this upgrade too. Thanks to @DavidHollabaugh for providing one of our first @Fast sweatshirt reviews!
The improvements to @Fast Store weren't just visual, either. Making changes to our BigCommerce theme also improved performance as measured by Google PageSpeed Insights. Our score for desktop devices went from 64 to 95 in just two weeks! We have more work to do on mobile, though.
But none of these changes would have been possible so quickly without the autonomy and support I've been given by @domm, @abarrallen, and @KyleTibbitts. They've entrusted me with a key part of our marketing strategy and I'm grateful for the opportunity to execute as this pace.
