Despite leading his high school team to a championship, Warren Moon ( @WMoon1) was snubbed of a city all-star game at the Rose Bowl. In his senior year at @UW_Football he lead the Huskies to a Pac 8 title ... and the Rose Bowl! Washington won the game 27-20. Moon won the game MVP!
Just like when he came out of high school, Warren Moon was asked if he'd change positions in the NFL - Most teams didn't see an NFL QB (due to the offense he played in & him being black). Moon remained a QB & went to the CFL instead, where he lead Edmonton to 5 straight Grey Cups
Warren Moon ( @WMoon1) proved the doubters in the NFL wrong and ended up signing a contract with the Houston Oilers that made him the highest paid player in the league!
