academia has just as much oppression & violence towards marginalized ppl as the industry (yt cis women đŸ€« for a sec)

"learning effectively" sounds ableist. people learn differently. some learn well in school.

⛓ school can be a wonderful place to start connecting w ppl
school is the right choice for some ppl, but it is way more nuanced than you SHOULDN'T GO or it is NECESSARY.

- It is useful in specific parts of the industry (esp. more corporate)
- If you do learn well in school, cool!
- Is it affordable? What are you alternatives?
