5th-DNA
A banger by Kendrick. Both instrumentals are hard. Beat switches on his songs are done right. Kendrick floats on the first beat while delivering a great verse. The bridge is a nice setup for verse 2 where Kendrick snaps. That whole verse had me like DAMNNNNN!!(1)

Kendrick is basically showing off on this song and he does it so well! Also the music video is awesome(2)
4th-The Blacker The Berry
“I’m the biggest hypocrite of 2015”
This song is a banger yet has such a powerful message reflected in the content & how he delivers each verse. This delivery is the best on TPAB(IMO). Definitely one of the best instrumentals in Kendricks catalogue(1)

It’s so intense then the jazzy instrumental at the end calms things down. The chorus is also my fave on TPAB. This song really is an experience(2)
3rd-How Much A Dollar Cost
A magnificent storytelling song by Kendrick. It’s about Kendricks experience with a homeless man. The ending was so unexpected and I love the way each verse builds up to it giving little hints at the end of verse 1 and 2.The instrumental is heavenly(1)

Verse 3 is the best as the instrumental gets more intense as it goes on(i noticed recently) plus Kendrick covering the topic of selfishness and where it has gotten him to. Ultimately his selfishness costs him a place in heaven when it’s revealed who the homeless man is(2)
I think Kendrick shows us that we have to be more compassionate and not to judge others. This song further shows how Kendrick can paint a picture with words(3)
2-Sing About Me, I’m Dying Of Thirst
For many Kendricks best storytelling song and I agree. To write from someone else’s perspective isn’t a easy thing to do(i’ve written songs similar so know this)(1)

Kendrick does it effortlessly with verse 1 being from Dave’s brother perspective and verse 2 from Keisha’s sister. The minimal production allows Kendrick to show off his ability. Verse 3 is from Kendricks own and again he delivers a good verse(2)
Then we got the 2nd part of this song. Dying of thirst=kendrick and his friends needing God in their lives This part of the song is beautiful with the angelic vocals on the instrumental(3)
I really like Kendricks flow on the five verses and the way he covers all the aspects of the environment he grew up in. This song is a classic and arguably Kendricks best(4)
1-Maad City
What a song this is.Everything about it is fantastic. The way the intro builds into the first beat. That beat is so amped up and hype. The chorus is relatable(being from London, I have experienced this) Kendricks delivery/flow in the first verse is sick+the content(1)

The transition into the west coast beat is nice. Mc Eiht was a great choice as a feature for this track and does his thing on his verse. Kendrick drops two more great verses, especially the last verse which is a representation of his younger and older self(2)
The outro is the perfect set up for the next track(swimming pools) This is why it’s my number 1 Kendrick song!(3)
If you made it this far then thanks for reading. Appreciate you!
