The purpose of our schools is to educate the whole person of the children who participate in these centers of educational excellence! Our commitment to Catholic schools is grounded in our understanding of who we are. 1/7
We believe that we have been created by a God who loves us and showed us that love in Jesus Christ. We believe, as we hear in the Book of Genesis, the first book of the Bible, that we are created in the image and likeness of God. 2/7
So that they might appreciate what that means, we want to educate our young people to understand themselves in the fullness of their humanity. 3/7
They're not just minds to be formed or technicians to be trained. They are humans of mind, body, and spirit who need to see a way to balance the incredible gift that each f them is as a human person with a way of life that reflects their own value and that of their neighbors. 4/7
Academic excellence is at the heart of a Catholic education. But a full education for life also includes moral values, discipline, and service. Our schools strive to help our young people to see the ties they have with others, and the responsibility they have for each other. 5/7
In our Catholic schools we work to help our parents in their duty to foster the faith of their children. We are so grateful that many of you who are parents want the help that a Catholic school can give you and choose to be a part of the community formed by the school. 6/7
If you're not already doing so, I encourage you to consider the wonderful resource that one of our schools could be for you. Take time to learn about the good things happening in our schools and see if this might be something you would want for your family! #CatholicSchoolsWeek
