I read the @smartmatic lawsuit. In 30 yrs as a journalist, Ive never seen anything like it. This likely cant be settled. The journalistic malice & incompetence shown by @FoxNews was off the charts. *Basic* information I'd never believe they'd invented.../1

...is throughout the entire thing. Why kind of "news" organization just *Makes. Stuff. Up.* like this. There are basic things I always assumed were true - like what contracts Smartmatic had in the election - because why the hell would Fox just make them up? *But they did.*.../2
...the losses @smartmatic faces are literally in the billions. They quantify it. And the lies are undeniable. Such as: Fox claimed @smartmatic played a role in flipping votes in every close state. *They only had one place their equipment was used in 2020, in L.A. County*.../3
...Fox claimed @smartmatic owns Dominion Voting Systems - the other target of their disinformation. They don't: theyre competitors. Fox claimed Dominion equipment used Smartmatic software. They *don't* - again, they are competitors and dont serve as vendors to each other.../4
...ALL of this was evident from their website *before the 2020 election* - particularly the thing that @smartmatic equipment was used only in LA County in 2020. This didn't take "reporting" - it took entering the company name in Google. Even *I* believed they were used all.../5

...info being lied about is so important is because that was the launching off pad for @FoxNews to attack @smartmatic. If they told the truth - "Smartmatic was only used in LA County, where Biden won by 70%" - there could be no conspiracy theory. So they STARTED with a lie.../7
...and that isn't the bad part. Everything - frigging EVERYTHING - was simply made up. Venezuela, backdoors, and on and on and on - was factually impossible. The "affidavits" used against smartmatic were absurd on their face. One claimed @smartmatic met with Chavez in 2009.../8
...to rig the election. Smartmatic only provided equipment in 2004, and was out after that. So, as the lawsuit says, absent time travel, this affidavit is demonstrably false. Another of the "affidavits" that Fox referenced was from a woman who 1 month earlier signed an..../9

...its current business is shak, requiring endless efforts at preservation, its enterprise value collapsed by - yup - $2.7 billion, the amount they are suing for. They have had to spend almost $1 million because of death threats to their staff, including the 14 yr old son.../11

This lawsuit literally could spell the end of @FoxNews. Settlement with losses that huge is very difficult, particularly when falsity, recklessness, malice, motive and damage is so undeniable. Again, I've never seen anything like it. Serves them right.
