This isn't a joke or anything, I believe people are truly sleeping on Runarsson (short thread)
He has had 1 bad game for us. Obviously that game was City 4-1 and he was shocking. Theres no ifs buts or maybes about that.
He was quite solid for us in the Europa League, although not heavily tested. Hes solid with the ball at his feet and seems very comfortable passing it out from the back
If theres one person who can massively improve and get the best out of Runarsson, its Inaki Cana. The two worked together at FC Nordsjælland and Cana was a big reason why Runarsson came to Arsenal.
Cana had a massive impact on both Emi Martinez and Bernd Leno. Since Cano joined the club they have massively improved in their shot stopping and ball playing ability, especially Martinez.
I believe that Cana can make Runarsson into a solid, backup to Bernd Leno over. He was signed as a 3rd choice but when Mat Ryan goes back to Brighton after his loan I think Runarssson will be ready to be 2nd choice.
This game against Villa will be massive for his confidence and his future at Arsenal, with Leno suspended
