Happy 2 years, @PlayApex! In memory of this crazy adventure, here's a thread of my favorite memories of working on Apex Legends...
Let's start from the beginning... this was a key slide I used to pitch a "Titanfall Battle Royale," which would eventually become Apex Legends. I'm quite surprised at how closely the final product kept to the original pitch (with the exception of PIlots and Titans, of course!)
A shot from the "waiting room" that was eventually cut. Players could choose to drop with their team or solo by choosing which drop pod to enter. Even though the room was cut, the idea of dropping together as a team remained and eventually turned into the Jumpmaster system
LAUNCH DAY! Watching the live stream of the game getting released and seeing it hit #1 on Twitch for the very first time!
This BANGER of a trailer! Still gets me hyped when I watch it.
This email went around the office a few days after launch. Definitely made my day
The fan art! SO. MUCH. FAN. ART. You make my heart melt every time. I'm sorry I can't post all my favorites, but here are a few!
Karaoke with the Legends was such an awesome night. Thanks to @JustineHuxley for organizing it
Anyone remember this guy?
How about the time when this was the meta?
All in all, just thinking about how much the game has changed and how much you guys have stuck with us has me feeling nostalgic. So thank you to everyone who gave our little game a chance and who came with us on this journey. We still have so much in store for you guys!!
