I have to say these COVID statistics have really been bugging me. I went back and pulled each States Data on the leading causes of Death in 2018 (clean data). If you look at the following chart:
1) US population was estimated to be 327 Million
2) Average Age US : 37.9 years
3) Life Expectancy : 79.80
5) Total Deaths according to CDC was 2,839,205 in 2018.
6) The Total Population / Total Deaths is 115 to 1. This number appears high? Verdict isn't clear as I would need to look at each year of life and see how it progresses through time.
@NSAGov
7) Top 33 Causes death in 2018 : 2,180,775
8) U Deaths... Unexplained (they call it "residual" is 658,430.
Hmmm... Seems like they have quite a bit of wiggle room how to classify these "residuals" in any given year???
Say 2020??? Worth exploring?
