Based on scientific evidence we support our players and coaches with a multidisciplinary approach to talent development and optimal performance from sports science and performance psychology since the summer split 2019.
We are consistently creating spaces where psychological safety, well-being, development, and learning are a priority. This allows us to integrate a values-based approach that is reinforced on a daily basis.
Our performance pillars (psychology, exercise & nutrition) have helped us to gradually integrate different experts of performance during this process.
At the psychological level, I'd like to highlight @SylvainLaborde_ work in the area of self-regulation, emotional intelligence, and heart rate variability that has been a crucial part of our players' and coaches' daily routines and recovery strategies.
In 2019 we initiated steps on coaching development that were carried out first by @MatthewJWatson. This role was taken over in 2020 by @b_ramaker along with the daily support of our team.
In 2020, we developed a better understanding of our culture and the needs of our environment with the help of @MathorneOle in which we continue developing our holistic ecological approach to talent development.
Our exercise pillar once integrated is progressively taking a good part of our daily routines in the forms of informal and formal activities such as mobility and activation exercises, stretches, and fitness training that is currently lead by our two fitness trainers.
Recovery and optimization are a crucial part of that 1% we are chasing at @Rogue. So, we counted with the support of @marktuitert with an insightful conversation of his Olympic experience and his First Energy gum to gain that extra edge needed in high performance.
We've taken our nutrition pillar to next level lead by sports scientist & nutritionist @electricthomson who's working closely with @RgeFoxy1 developing nutritional strategies & meals aligned with the fitness goals & training that transfer for wellbeing & in-game performance.
This just a snippet of the content of our framework as it is extended to areas of performance enhancement such as sleep hygiene methods, self-regulative strategies like meditation, breathing techniques, and cognitive training.
The support and buy-in of our talented players, coaches, and org help us to look into those unexplored areas of performance in esports that are crucial for success.
