Play what you want and do what makes you happy on stream.

The biggest success stories I've witnessed are from folks who did what they loved and found a community while doing it.
I met @glermzz when he came in for a stupid stream I did dramatically reading rage posts when World of Warcraft went down. He came in randomly a while later after subbing that day and saw me playing Don't Starve.

Now he's consistently the biggest DST streamer.
I met @KarlJacobs_ when he was hanging out in Roblox. He had remixes of himself singing about Minecraft sucking compared to Roblox in the background. He took a year off to find great ways to improve the world around him.

He had 240,000 viewers yesterday. In Minecraft.
People lose sight so much because they feel like they need to chase the popular game instead of kicking ass an enjoying the ride.

Take the path noone travels. Then people will follow you to see something they haven't seen before.
It sucks to talk to a silent chat. I sometimes still have nights where I feel like I'm talking to myself. It can feel lonely. But focus in what you're doing and why you're doing it. Have fun.

Define your success. Set goals for 5 years in advance and stick to the plan.
You'll get there. It's gonna be sucky. It's gonna be rough. People who follow trends will have big spikes that come and go.

Just prepare for your moment. Be ready for when the big raid arrives or when some celebrity has an urge to play some childhood game and stumbles upon you.
You can ask @mieucosplay how many times I've had a meltdown over stupid shit that causes me stress and makes me feel like I'm failing and disappearing.

We all do it. Sometimes often.

But I love streaming. I *love* it. I won't ever let that feeling make me forget this.
I don't know who needed to hear this stuff today, but I needed to hear it a few weeks ago and I let the emotion pass.

I also told myself I'd tweet about it once it passed, just in case someone out there stumbled upon this 50 tweet thread and it helped them out.

😎👍
P.S. Numbers aren't life.

I have almost 177,000 followers but only 100 CCV because I stream when my followers are sleeping - because I kept my day job to have financial security.

The bulk of my audience is also located in an area where the dollar is 75 to 1.
