On 31st January, for the first time in 305 days, the state of Gujarat had reported ZERO COVID19 deaths in a 24-hour period.
+ The total number of active COVID19 cases in India is once again below the 1,50,000 mark after a gap of 247 days. Last time the total active case count was below 1,50,000 was on 12th June 2020.
+ Andhra Pradesh has had less than 100 new COVID-19 cases per day on consecutive days for the first time in more than 8 months. 5 months ago, the state was frequently witnessing 10,000(!!) new cases per day on consecutive days.
+ Uttar Pradesh, the most populated state in India, currently has only 20 active cases/million population & has an overall test positivity rate of 2.1%. On both parameters it is among the best 10 performing states in India & among the best 5 among states with 1 crore+ population.
+ Nearly 45 lakh individuals in India have received their first COVID19 vaccine dose. India has become the fastest country to cross 4 million vaccinations. Out of the 5 lakh individuals surveyed after vaccination, 97% said they were happy with the entire vaccination process.
+ India is now reporting anywhere between 10-15k new cases/day while doing more than 7 lakh tests daily, a test positivity rate of 1.5-2%.

Last time India reported similar new case numbers was towards the end of June 2020. However at the time we were only doing 2 lakh tests/day.
+ 7) Currently there are 2.58 crore active COVID19 cases in the world, out of which only 1.49 lakh active cases are in India.

India, which harbours nearly 17.7% of the world population, constitutes only 0.58% of its current active COVID19 cases.
+ 8) India's cumulative test positivity rate has been on a constant decline for 6 months. The overall TPR now stands at 5.8% and the current TPR is much lower, at 1.5-2%.

Not only are our numbers reducing but they're reducing despite higher comparitive testing numbers.
+ 9) On the vaccination front, India has not only become the fastest country to vaccinate 4 million individuals but has also exported nearly 15 million vaccine doses to atleast 17 other countries, some as grant and some as commercial exports.
+ 10) November 11 (2020) - Delhi reported 8593 new cases, its highest single-day new-case count during the course of the pandemic.

Jan 5th to February 4th (2021) - Delhi has reported less than 8000 new cases in total during this 31-day period.
