5 tips on Twitter growth.

// Thread
1) Optimize profile

When people visit your profile, they quickly need to see what they can expect by following you.

Have a nice profile picture, a professional banner and a bio that explains your content.
2) Engagement

If you've been around here for a while, you've probably seen people talk about engagement.

And yes, you need to engage under others tweets. How else will you get eyes on your account?

The important factor in engaging is that you provide value.
Don't just add a "yes" or "I agree", or rewrite the original tweet.

Provide extra value. This will get people to visit your profile.

Make a list with big accounts in your niche and provide value on their tweets daily.

You will grow.
3) Write tweets of your own

Although engaging should have more focus then your own tweets when you're a small account,

You should have some tweets of your own.

Those that visit your profile might scroll a bit down, and if there are no tweets there, why should they follow?
Write a couple of valuable tweets everyday.
4) Build relationships

You can get many valuable connections in DMs.

Don't be afraid to reach out to people.

Having friends on Twitter helps, and who knows, one of those connections might change your Twitter game.
5) Consistency

As in other things in life, consistent effort is needed for Twitter growth.

You can't show up every now and then and expect great results.

Show up every day and put in the effort.

It will give great long-term results.
