The 80s saw Hackney lose many of its LGBTQ+ community to HIV/AIDS and misinformation fuelled hate and stigma.

This is a cartoon produced by Christians in Hackney AIDS Initiative reflected the seemingly never ending fight against the stigmatism and marginalisation of HIV victims
Outrageous Fortune sought to dispel the mistruths in a different way ...

Featuring actors living with AIDS/HIV, their performance of Hamlet at @HackneyEmpire proved that AIDs was 'no barrier to living a full and useful life'
