pshhhh so this is hard to explain lmao but ill try. so. lets talk about traits. i consider gender to be a trait, not necessarily a personality trait but like, a trait of ones identity. A persons brain exists independent of society, but i would say that their mind doesnt really
people define themselves as compared to other people, and not everyone always has a very consistent sense of self. some people even share brains, so obviously a brain's chemistry isnt one to one with any given persons experience
my theory is that, there are many intrinsic parts of ones brain and personality, just the folds and ways that you are, naturally. what really defines people though, is how these intrinsic variables react to the world and people around them
without society, gender couldnt exist. people who had a strong sense of gender would still exist, but those people wouldnt have anything to like, bounce that feeling off of. theres no real way to test this tho so lmao whatever.
what i actually think is that our working theory of gender should just be listen to others about their gender, and evaluate how you feel to figure out your own. i think that "scientific" explanations of chransgenderism are useless and similar to those "gay gene" arguments
