The farmers in the country are protesting against the 3 farm laws enacted by the parliament last year. This protest has been going on for around 3 months and has led to increase in agitation and unrest . Lack of interest from government and misinformation in the media has led +
to a divide among the people .
the three laws are :
1. The Farmers Produce Trade and Commerce ( Promotion and facilitation) Act 2020
2. Farmers ( Empowerment and Protection) Agreement of Price Assurance and Farm Services Act 2020
3. Essential Commodities ( Amendment ) Act 2020
i am providing my notes from the Official Gazette of India on the laws. You may skip reading if you like ,
Now for the benefits that these laws aim to bring : ( as per my OWN judgement and logic)
ofcourse we need to discuss the concerns with the law :
( these are the concerns that 'I' have found and felt .. feel free to add yours and any argument countering these is welcome , please be civil)
these are the demands of the protesting farmers , please feel free to add anything i have missed
MSP is a burning issue and we need to be known about the positives and negatives in order to form our own judgements
Please let us all be educated , spread awareness and form our own judgements , be it against or for the laws and not be victims of any instigation by accounts like Kangna Ranaut and Indian media .
My views :
I personally supported the laws at some points and disagree at some. We can have our own judgements about the laws , but the matter of human rights is a matter beyond judgements and we should take care that our government treats us all, including the protesters with +
respect and humanity , our rights as humans must never be violated by any government and the voices of dissent must never be silenced . Dissent is the spirit of democracy and i stand with the Indian spirit that prevails .
