There is some interesting research in the document. It points out that one group which would be particularly eager to move to the UK will be the targets of the 8,891 arrests in connection with the protests between June 9 2019 and May 29 2020. Unfortunately they will mostly be /
too young to hold BN(O) status - so their only chance will be to claim refugee status.

The next group are likely to be professionals particularly those in the professions being targeted by the People’s Republic of China (PRC) for oppression and persecutions, i.e. journalists,/
teachers, social workers and
community workers, lawyers, and civil servants.

Families with dependent children, in particular those of professional background, are likely to be the next group taking advantage of the BN(O) Visa scheme. he main motivation of this group is to find/
a better, freer, education environment for the children’s education and future.

in supporting migrants from New Territories, Vietnam, Tiananmen massacre, Hong Kong, Macau, Fujian, Malaysia, Singapore to settle in the UK. Since June 2020, it assisted many enquiries from newly arrived Hongkongers to find their bearings in the UK.

safety of Hongkongers in the UK” as the cause that make them feel unsafe in the UK.

It gives some recommendations
It comments on the problems Chinese migrants have had with the complex procedures over the years and gives a grim warning about the allegiance of many Chinese immigration practitioners.
It makes a recommendation about this:
The report covers a lot more and, for those who are interested in history sets out the recent history of Chinese and Vietnamese migration into the UK.
