Now 23 residents & 18 staff. We need immediate intervention, & esp. from @fordnation who have NOT deployed $6.5 billion in #COVID relief funding:
- On-site mass testing at shelters, incl. sentinel testing;
- #Vaccine priority;
- Support for PPE/IPAC. https://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/toronto/seaton-house-outbreak-covid-19-shelter-toronto-1.5900466

For frontline workers, we also need #PaidSickDays & the continuation of Provincial Pandemic Pay. For people experiencing #homelessness, actual SAFE sheltering options & NO displacement for as long as is needed (& well beyond when many shelter-hotel leases expire in April).
We are also seeing COVID+ cases among ppl sleeping rough. Two of our west-end drop-ins have shut down b/c we do not have the ability/resources to mitigate this situation on our own. We are mobilizing w/ community partners to demand a response from all levels of gov't. Stay tuned.
