Yes, you failed to create a SAFE & equitable environment for my child @HWDSB. The apology to @AhonaMehdi means nothing when those who insidiously targeted her enjoy the privilege of your protection with no consequences for their harrowing actions towards my child. 2/6
Once again, you prioritize the comfort of white bodies in power over the safety & suffering of a racialized student. While Ahona's courage & strength astonish me, this shouldn't be her burden. Yet, you force her to continue shouldering the truth by protecting the perpetrator. 3/6
I watched helplessly as Ahona suffered in silence as she served with determination, strength, conviction and impact. I now see the full picture behind the cause of her pain. I will never be able to forgive myself for letting her go into the lion's den completely unprotected. 4/6
I demand to know the identities of Trustee1 & Staff1 who deplorably targeted Ahona. I have the right to know how @HWDSB justifies protecting the identities & positions of these individuals when they are clearly unfit and unsafe to serve racialized student. 5/6
Finally, while I'm eternally grateful to @HCCI1 & @HS4JUSTICE for the support they've extended to Ahona when I was unable (due to implicit professional expectations), this thread is my own. I haven't been coerced & there's no agenda beyond a mother seeking justice. 6/6
