Reasons why the Black Lives Matter organization is bad, a thread. Disagreeing with the organization does not imply that one does not agree with the statement or is racist.

1) They’re mission is to “disrupt the western prescribed nuclear family structure”. If you went into their website in June, like us, you would’ve seen this. 2) The “western prescribed nuclear family” they admonish is the same family we admire in our Christian faith. Mary, Joseph, and Jesus were the original “western prescribed nuclear family”. Furthermore, we know that family structure is important for raising kids.

3) 64% of African American kids are raised in a single parent household. Disparities in single parenthood correlate with disparities for education, income, and incarceration. Hispanic single parenthood rates are also high while Asian and White rates are significantly lower.

4) We disagree with the Black Lives Matter organization because we disagree on how to fix the disparities. They seek to further disrupt the “western prescribed nuclear family” while we believe that is the remedy to our problems.

5) We encourage everyone to instead of donating to BLM, donate to programs that seek to help young African Americans become better fathers and mothers. This could be Christian camps, sports teams, or even after school programs.
