Funeral procession in Baghdad today for 104 Yazidi victims of ISIS’ genocide whose bodies were exhumed and identified.

They were all from the same village of Kocho in Sinjar and will be laid to rest there on Saturday.
Whilst tens of thousands of Yazidis fled to mount Sinjar when ISIS began their genocide, Kojo is around 30km from the mountain and was besieged by the terrorists.

On 15 August 2014, ISIS isolated 400 men and 77 elderly woman and summarily executed them near the village school.
The Yazidi women and young girls were kidnapped by ISIS as slaves and the young boys (the terrorists would check for armpit hair) were indoctrinated as child soldiers.

Their fate remains unknown to this day.
The first to be killed that day was Sheikh Ahmed Qasim, the village chief.

He was executed here.
