This triggered new marketing strategy of sponsoring extreme sport events

Their international marketing campaign targets young men mostly with extreme sports

It ranges from mountain biking, BMX, motocross, windsurfing, snowboarding and more
They use music and and video games, and was enlisted celebrities such as Eminem [sponsoring the redbull "Emsec battle rap championships"]

The drinks now sells in 171 countries worldwide and become forbes 61st most valuable brand in the world with all the marketing exposure
They further stay ahead competitors like monster energy drink, by breaking a record which at the time [2012] had stood for 62 years

In 1960

Joseph kittinger broke the record for highest free fall jump from 102,800 feet
It was a clever move from redbull in sense that knew it would worth in creating a buzz

Joseph had actually sustained fairly severe injuries due to the atmospheric pressure
His pressurized suit was the only protection which didn't totally work

During his ascent the pressurisation in his right glove failed, causing his hand to swell twice it's normal size

Kittinger, however was determined to make the jump so he didn't report the case untill he👇
