Hearing LOUD whispers that $SNDL has been busy behind the scenes with a “material strategic transaction.” While the company won’t comment on the process, they now have $615M to make previously announced strategic changes to strengthen and position company for long-term growth.
We previously reported that $SNDL had been eyeing the outright acquisition of Zenabis Global $ZBISF- who has established/appealing revenue models. In Dec. $SNDL acquired a special purpose vehicle for C$58.9 million and now owns senior secured debt issued by a unit of Zenabis.
It is expected that Zenebis will issue a substantial payment to $SNDL as part of that deal in a few days. The recent back-to-back financings which raised $100M and $74.5M for $SNDL, have bullish fueled speculation among investors that a deal...

... that seems less likely given info from presentation pitches made to financiers involved in the most recent financings and given the scope of maneuverings during the past year- which included the change of previous management, elimination of debts and aggressive restructuring.
