One of the greatest paradoxes I see in my families and in my life is the Marwadi instinct to grow wealth, and the Jain instinct to be detached from worldly possessions
"Contradiction: conflicting elements within the same system

Paradox: conflicting elements revealing a previously unknown truth"

Fair to see my original tweet as a contradiction, but my half-baked thought is that detachment from your specific outcome allows for good processes🤔
One of my bucket list projects is to interview Dadas and Dadis in the community on how their life experience straddled these values and collate it into a book. Perhaps an audio book.

Everything I’ve read so far about how these communities do business seems incomplete and shallow
They also completely omit anything about the role of women. Which is a pity, because many of these fine ladies have a knack for business and savviness in managing people that’s going to be visible if you look a little beyond the amazing food they make or the kids they bring up.
