She's Kosovan and lived there during the war, when she was 15. She told me that she didn't find that as stressful as the pandemic because "at least we could be together, family and friends".

I just. To hear that she lived through a *war* but the lack of human contact is grinding her down more. That's just...something of a vision-clearer.
anyway, if you're beating yourself up for finding lockdown difficult or not performing at 100%, that might be something to think about.
