So, here's the thing, alot has been said over the last few days about the supposed existence of a 'Mill Hill Traders Group'. There is no member of the Mill Hill trading community who has come forth to say there is one, officially. (THREAD)👇
However we see an individual who will not use a name, who has multiple Twitter accounts, claim there is. However according to him, this only exists in the form of an article in a thin magazine that he put together 3 years ago. He also states traders are too busy to have meetings
This magazine no longer exists in print form. Much like most of his output, it only exists in a free to use digital platform called issuu. This is the same platform he uses to produce what was a Guide, but he has now decided to call a Directory, but he keeps calling it a Guide..
He is currently trying to convince local businesses in Mill Hill and Hendon to advertise in a new Guide/Directory for 2021. Given that 2021 started 35 days ago, it seems a little late in the day. Anyway, that aside, he is charging to advertise.
Normally such charges exist to cover the costs of design, production and distribution. However this new Guide, by his own admission is not going to be printed and distributed. Its only going to exist in a digital form. So no print and distribution costs there then...
..He will then, no doubt claim, that the costs are for staffing. This is a moot point. Although he will claim of new teams, and new editors (he seems to go through them quickly), he has never named them. No photos of staff,no images of the office where the work is done too.
So...what we have is an unnamed individual, producing a virtual publication, with no costs other than seemingly cups of tea and biscuits. Unless he can actually prove all of these things, then one must really query what this is all about.
What it looks like is an unaccountable individual, using anonymous digital platforms, from an undisclosed business address, acquiring monies from business operators, to advertise in a digital platform that most of the general public will not see.
If I were to advertise in a local area guide/directory, I would expect to see it distributed in print form through every household. I would expect to see window stickers proclaiming 'We are in the local area guide'.
Obviously I expect to see a tirade from this individual now, as he struggles to justify himself, as he always does.

All that remains to ask, is - Why would you give this person your hard earned money?
