It’s #TimeToTalkDay and I have so many weird feelings about it. On the one hand the pandemic means we’ve never been more aware of our mental health, yet many of us are too overwhelmed to reach out and ‘talk’ (I include myself in this)
If the pandemic is your first experience of mental distress or if even this isn’t your first rodeo, it’s ok to feel your feelings and feel overwhelmed but if it starts to become harder to do things or you’re experiencing other distressing symptoms please speak to your GP
I’d also hugely recommend this excellent resource hub from @MindCharity which covers all bases including working from home, homeschooling, loneliness, feelings of anger or guilt https://www.mind.org.uk/information-support/coronavirus/
Or perhaps, like me, you can’t work from home and it’s messing with your head - they’ve got us covered https://www.mind.org.uk/information-support/coronavirus/going-into-work-during-coronavirus/
Lastly please lobby your representatives for better mental health support now and in the future. Talking is great but sometimes we need professional support

I will now feel continued shame for all the typos and bad grammar in that thread
