Thinking about the #pandemic and the next phase we are entering- #vaccination-led me down a technological rabbit hole. And the internet did not disappoint. The @MutterMuseum has a wonderful online exhibit on the history of disease and vaccination #ucincyPH

Looking through their many online exhibits, one in particular caught my attention. The "Civil War Lesson Plans," which presents primary sources "intended for high school juniors and seniors and first and second-year undergraduates"...
to help "develop skills in reading and analyzing them to gain historical understanding." The lessons range from "Healing Black Soldiers" to "Recruiting Healthy Bodies." Check out this online exhibit here; http://muttermuseum.org/exhibitions/civil-war-lesson-plans/
While you can spend hours looking at their online exhibits-or wondering where you would wear a genital warts necklace to-I have found a place that I must visit once the pandemic ends. Aside from my new bucket list place, back to the "Civil War Lesson Plans"...
These primary sources relate to a book I read this week-"From Storefront to Monument: Tracing the Public History of the Black Museum Movement" by Andrea Burns, because they both present ways we can teach young minds to see African American history as American history.
