I am so baffled by that trending hashtag. I listened to her Instagram live and never thought AOC was representing that she was anywhere except in her office? She talks about her office bathroom, her staff...?

Okay, so here’s her instagram live.

”There‘s the Capitol Hill complex, but members of Congress, except for the Speaker and very, very high ranking ones, don’t actually work in that building with the dome. There’s buildings, like, right next to the dome. That’s where our actual offices are.”

So she talks about getting her second dose of the vaccine at the Capitol physician.

Then @38:40:

”I start heading back to my office, and you know the walk back is...is a considerable walk, I head back to my office. We get back in.”

She talks about stuff happening in her office: thinks about ordering lunch, talks to her Chief of staff on her phone.

“All of a sudden, I hear BOOM, BOOM, BOOM.”

This talking point isn’t just misleading, it’s a flat-out lie.

AOC was *extremely* clear in her Instagram Live about *exactly*where she was in the story she told. She described *in detail* the distance between her office and the Capital Dome.

The thing they are claiming she lied about is LITERALLY IN THE VIDEO at the time stamps above.

So you want to talk about who is being emotionally manipulative here? Maybe it’s the people who are flat-out painting a woman who was in fear for her life as a liar because they know they just need *some* kind of excuse.

This is *precisely* the abusive behavior she called out in her video—finding one thing that they can pretend to use to smear her.
