In 2019, I took an emergency 401k withdrawal for medical expenses and a dead car. Because that counts as income, my household is suddenly too rich for a stimulus under Biden’s new means testing guidelines. I haven’t had a job in a year. Fuck him.
I can’t go back to work without a vaccine. And even then, I have to find a job that is okay with me sometimes being in a wheelchair. I haven’t even figured out half of my issues. I can’t even stand 5 minutes.
So I think because some people aren’t reading the article I linked in the thread, he’s planning on lowering the income cap (which s based on 2019 income before covid) from $75k single / $150k joint, to $50k single / $100k joint.
The article claims 85% of Americans get it. That’s not true. I live in Maryland. It’s expensive. I rent with 2 other ppl. Between 2019 and 2020 I became too disabled to work, even more so due to being immunocompromised. I can’t even door dash on good days like I used to.
I was promoted in 2018. I became jobless 2020. Life was very different. That’s how Covid has worked for everyone working class. It’s absurd to think we all have the same means we did then.
Another fun one, since people desperately need me to say fuck Trump as well (I’m coming from the far left so if I’m saying Fuck Biden, definitely fuck everyone to his right.):

A friend of mine, bc of how her job filed their paychecks for some reason, only got $65/wk UI. (Cont..)
Because it was under $100, she did not get any of the federal UI boosts. Just $65. She also isn’t getting a third stimulus because she had a job in 2019. She can barely afford food. She has spent months of 10 hour days on hold with unemployment.
