1. This morning I woke up at 3 am to the sounds of shooting. They were coming from the nearby military base in which dozens of armored vehicles of the IDF's artillery corps were parking. They started shooting in the middle of the night. This is was the beginning of a long day.

2. We were staying with a family in the Palestinian village Beir El Eid, knowing that a large scale military training is about to take place. By 6 am the heavy armored vehicles started to invade Jenba, the village down the hill.

3. They passed next to the school and the clinic, dozens of vehicles and hundreds of soldiers waking up the village early in the morning. One of the mobile cannons got stuck over a cave that is used as a garage by one the families.

4. On their path, the vehicles destroyed water pipes and electric infrastructure. As they went up the hill, some of them parked on agricultural lands that are cultivated by Ziad and his family from Beir El Eid, where I was staying.

5. Over 50 vehicles participated in the training today. Instilling fear and chaos in the Palestinian communities of the South Hebron Hills. People who have been living in this area way before it was declared as "Firing Zone 918" by Israel.

6. Soon we will have elections in Israel. This is the number one issue we should be talking about. The fact that we can train over a civilian population without giving it a second thought.

7. Instead, we are dealing with a neverending list of political parties which are afraid to even acknowledge the humanity of the Palestinians under our rule.

8. The training today was not the first and wont be the last. We have to keep speaking about what the occupation allows and makes us do. The military I was was once proud to serve in is being used by the country I was raised to believe in, in order to oppress milions of people.

9. In front of this, we should never stay silent. Speak about Firing Zone 918. Speak about the occupation. Help us end it.
