This is an incredibly competitive industry for all, but of course even moreso for women, as we right the absolute failings of our past. One of the things that struck me hearing @emilykaplan-& we had this conversation off air too- is that it can be done as teammates, this business https://twitter.com/aroundthehorn/status/1357094011161337856
can be done in support of each other. While lifting each other.

There is not one job. There is not one way to do that job. There is not one entry point. There is not one voice, one look, one option. For too long there has been one thinking in this business and that is flat out
to the detriment of any production.

But there can be one way we can immediately address this.

Hire more women.
Please read this piece on @4lisaguerrero. It took my breath away. It speaks to, yes, the high stakes of this industry but also the impossible and unfair critiques and demands projected upon reporters, and specifically women, externally and internally within a production- and https://twitter.com/4lisaguerrero/status/1356721577132347392
As @4lisaguerrero courageously reveals, internally within herself. The industry will have immense pressures, but it should value support systems and aspire for eliminating stereotype and bias and close mindedness since the goal is bigger than that.

Hire more women.
