*A thread & urgent call for help*
On Saturday we were able to rent a hotel room for a senior, disabled woman so she can shelter indoors for a week. Our friend has been living on the street nearly 3 years. Recently she was stuck in the rain, unsheltered, sleeping in a wheelchair.

She suffers from multiple chronic life-threatening and debilitating medical conditions. Time indoors is not only good for physical and mental health but it allows folks a place to keep medicine, which can be impossible when unhoused. Our friend needs time to rest and be indoors.

She needs the community’s support to stay indoors past this weekend. Her experience has been plagued by persistent violence, from attacks and abuse to the mundane violence of indifference and apathy. If we aren’t able to raise the money, our friend will be back on the street.

There is no “pathway” to housing through the City’s housing-by-algorithm system for our friend. We are building a community-supported model of housing to help our unhoused friends but we need your help to make it a reality. Donate/RT: https://tinyurl.com/hnh-paypal
