THREAD:

The widespread effort to equate advocacy for the dissolution of Israel with advocacy for "Palestinian equality" is a clever trick.

Here's the strategy:
Step 1: Change the definition of "equality" from "every state's citizens should be treated equally under the law" to "separate national movements should fuse together." Apply this definition to only the Israelis and the Palestinians and not, say, Armenia and Azerbaijan.
Step 2: Reply to those who point out the obvious double standard against Jews with the retort, "Well, no one is entitled to a state." Ignore that, in practice, no one actually argues for dissolving any other currently existing nation-state besides Israel.
Step 3: Continue to argue your case for "equality" by comparing Israel to apartheid South Africa, as if disputes between two national movements are equivalent to white supremacist regimes that disenfranchise, subjugate, and segregate people with a different skin color.
Step 4: Capitalize on the new definition of "equality" to smear those who question your political proposals for solving the Israeli-Palestinian conflict (such as the "Jewish establishment") as opponents of "equality." Ignore the obvious threat that this presents to Jewish safety.
Step 5: Repeat ad nauseum.
