Relevant Thread: A couple years ago, I appeared on a certain person's daytime talk show. After a brief interview, I was to ask the host a Q based on his "expertise". The Q was easy. He whiffed it, complained that he didn't understand the phrasing. The audience audibly gasped.
On the walk from the studio floor, his producers smirked, saying "we're so glad he got that wrong... it will piss him off to be shown up on his own show, such a smug ...." - to paraphrase.
Just saying that if your OWN team roots for your comeuppance, and you yourself don't relish getting something wrong, with humility, and subsequently learning from it, maybe you're not the type of person we want to be the host of a beloved institution based on fact and knowledge.
