Here's a lesson on how to do cold outreach right.

Don't ask someone for "coffee" or a "quick 20 min call"

(or worst of all - "to pick their brain". You brain pickers stay away)

Here's an example of how my cousin hustled & got connected with @chamath
On the all-in podcast, @friedberg joked that @chamath wants to run for governor.

my cousin @RohunJauhar hears that and tweets this out https://twitter.com/RohunJauhar/status/1353386405754331137?s=20
One guy reaches out saying "i'll do it in a few weeks for $2k". Another says "I'll do it for free, tonight."

Rohun sketches out what he wants. Super simple:
A day later, @Amaansayed_ builds the website in Webflow - the site is live: http://chamathforca.com

They email it to chamath & go to sleep
They wakeup in the morning to 3 emails from Chamath.

The first - "Holy shit! I love it!"
The 2nd, asking to setup a call

Instead of begging to meet a busy person...they did something to add value to him, which made him WANT to meet them.
the cold outreach lesson:

1. If you want to meet someone, don't ask them for time

2. Instead, do something that saves them time, or helps them hit their goals

3. Do it with no expectations...and you'll be surprised how many of them reach out wanting to meet YOU.
